7th Grade Garageband Projects

PROJECT 1
  • OBJECTIVE: Create 32 measures of interesting loops.
  • You may use whatever loops you want.
  • You should have at least 3 different tracks in your project with loops in them.
  • Your overall product should be interesting - not the same 3 loops for the entire 32 measures!
  • Your project must be at least 32 measures long.
  • Save in your desktop folder as: "(Your Name) Project 1".
  • 10 points off for each missing criterion

PROJECT 2
  • OBJECTIVE: Create 32 measures of DRUM or BEAT loops.
  • You must ONLY use loops from the "drums" or "beats" categories. No other types!
  • You should have at least 3 different tracks in your project with loops in them.
  • You must change SOMETHING in your project every 4 measures.
    • ​The most common thing people do is add a new loop to what is already playing every four measures. You can also take away one loop, or switch one loop for another.
  • Your project must be at least 32 measures long.
  • Save in your desktop folder as: "(Your Name) Project 2".
  • 10 points off for each missing criterion

PROJECT 3
  • OBJECTIVE: Create 32 measures of SYNTH or PIANO loops.
  • You must ONLY use loops from the "synth" or "piano" categories. No other types!
  • You should have at least 3 different tracks in your project with loops in them.
  • You must change SOMETHING in your project every 4 measures.
    • ​The most common thing people do is add a new loop to what is already playing every four measures. You can also take away one loop, or switch one loop for another.
  • Your project must be at least 32 measures long.

PROJECT 4
  • OBJECTIVE: Create 32 measures of BASS loops.
  • You must ONLY use loops from the "bass" categories. No other types!
  • You should have at least 3 different tracks in your project with loops in them.
  • You must change SOMETHING in your project every 4 measures.
    • ​The most common thing people do is add a new loop to what is already playing every four measures. You can also take away one loop, or switch one loop for another.
  • Your project must be at least 32 measures long.

PROJECT 5
  • OBJECTIVE: Create 32 measures using SYNTH, BASS, and BEATS loops.
  • You MUST use at least one loop from the "synth/piano", "bass", and "beats/drums" categories. You may use any other loops as well, but you must make sure you have those 3.
  • You should have at least 3 different tracks in your project with loops in them.
  • You must change SOMETHING in your project every 4 measures.
    • ​The most common thing people do is add a new loop to what is already playing every four measures. You can also take away one loop, or switch one loop for another.
  • Your project must be at least 32 measures long.
  • Save in your desktop folder as: "(Your Name) Project 5".
